Accor Hotel Brand Hit With Privacy Suit Over Web Tracking Tools

Hospitality business Accor Management US Inc. violated California privacy law by improperly allowing social media sites to intercept hotel stay information collected when booking a Fairmont Hotels & Resorts room online, according to a lawsuit.

The tracking technologies from Microsoft Corp.'s LinkedIn, Meta Platforms Inc., and Snap Inc. receive details about a user’s browsing history from Accor without their consent, said the proposed class action filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
