Accenture Must Face Suit Alleging a Pro-South Asian Worker Bias

Accenture LLC failed to convince a Connecticut federal court that a proposed class suit lacked support for allegations that the company hires and promotes South Asian workers for its U.S. operations at the expense of other workers.

White former employee Matthew Walker adequately pleaded claims that the company’s practices have a disparate impact on non-South Asian employees, and that he experienced disparate treatment because of bias, Judge Victor A. Bolden of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut said Wednesday.
