Accenture Faces Revived Disability Retaliation, Age Bias Suit

An ex-Accenture LLP worker’s claims the Fortune 500 company terminated her after she sought accommodation for her car accident-caused concussion were revived Monday by the Third Circuit.

Accenture provided inconsistent reasons for her termination, and the employee’s supervisor displayed a “‘pattern of antagonism’” towards her disability accommodation requests that should’ve been sufficient to establish a prima facie case of retaliation at the summary judgment phase, the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit said in reinstating her suit. The court also reversed the lower court’s grant of summary judgment on her age discrimination claim
