Accenture Contract in Jeopardy Over ‘Flawed’ USAF Cost Appraisal

Accenture Federal Services LLC could lose its contract to develop an equipment monitoring system because the US Air Force used flawed calculations when evaluating the proposal.

The Government Accountability Office recommended Thursday that the USAF make a new selection decision once it has reevaluated Accenture’s proposed price.

IBM Corp. protested the Air Force’s decision to award Accenture the contract, alleging that it unreasonably evaluated costs and technical factors when comparing the two companies’ proposals.
