Abortion, Pot Ballot Measures Get Novel Analyses from Ohio AG

Ohio’s Republican attorney general has for the first time released a set of “legal analyses” for a pair of issues voters will decide next month—whether to bake abortion rights into the state constitution and whether to legalize recreational marijuana.

Attorney General Dave Yost said he took the unusual step of putting out the documents because of confusion regarding what the proposed abortion amendment, known as Issue 1, and the proposed marijuana legalization laws, known as Issue 2, would do.
