Abercrombie & Fitch Trading Co. filed a suit in a Florida federal court seeking to stop various online businesses from infringing its trademarks, marketing, and selling counterfeit goods.
The complaint, filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida, accuses at least 45 websites of infringing and counterfeiting Abercrombie’s trademarks, false designation of origin, cybersquatting, common law unfair competition, and common law trademark infringement.
Abercrombie holds the trademark rights to Abercrombie & Fitch and HOLLISTER, among others. The websites it sued include the names HOLLISTERARGENTINASALE.COM and ABERCROMBIEANDFITCHUAEONLINE.COM.
