Abbott Labs Settles Pregnancy Bias Suit With Laid-Off Employee

Abbott Laboratories agreed to settle claims from a laid-off worker that the company engaged in pregnancy discrimination by failing to rehire her as it increased production of its Covid-19 testing kits.

Abbott and its former procurement specialist Larissa Peluso filed a stipulation of dismissal with the US District Court for the District of Maine to end her lawsuit, five days after the parties noted in the case docket that they had agreed to settle the matter.
