A challenge to a Texas policy that allows the state Supreme Court to transfer cases from busy appeals courts to less busy appeals courts was rejected because Gov. Greg Abbott (R), who was named in the suit, has no meaningful role in the policy.
The Texas Court of Appeals, Fifth District tossed the case Thursday. It reversed the trial court’s finding that it holds jurisdiction over the matter.
