A district court properly concluded a former Volvo employee isn’t a qualified individual for purposes of the Americans with Disabilities Act following a jury verdict that resulted in “monstrously excessive damages,” the Seventh Circuit said.
LuzMaria Arroyo sued Volvo Group North America LLC under the ADA and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act, alleging her termination was the result of discrimination based on her having PTSD and her status as a member of the military.
