7-Eleven Faces $78 Million FTC Suit for Florida Store Buy (1)

The Federal Trade Commission is seeking a penalty against 7-Eleven Inc.’s parent company of $77.5 million for allegedly violating an agreement not to acquire more stores in some states without the agency’s permission.

The agency sued the convenience store giant Monday claiming that Seven & I Holdings Co. failed to comply with a 2018 agency order that required it to provide notice to the FTC for 10 years before buying any retail fuel outlets within Florida, Texas or Virginia.
