3rd Circuit Revives Lawsuit Against Waypoint Over Credit Report

A lower court improperly threw out a consumer’s lawsuit alleging Waypoint Resource Group refused to investigate his dispute over false information on his credit report in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, a federal appeals could said.

The US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit reversed and remanded a summary judgment finding in favor of Waypoint because the lower court misread the FCRA in finding Waypoint was allowed to refuse to investigate the dispute.
