3M, Georgia Town Sued Over PFAS Sludge in Water, on Farms (1)

Sludge and biosolids from one Georgia town are contaminating the water supply of another town and farms across northern Georgia with PFAS, a new lawsuit in federal district court alleges.

Summerville, Ga., resident Earl Parris Jr. filed a Clean Water Act and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act citizen suit and class action complaint against 3M Co., a local textile mill, and the town of Trion, Ga., in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia Tuesday.
