3D Gun Printing Advocates Lose Bid to Revive Suit Against NJ AG

Defense Distributed, a digital firearms company, and the Second Amendment Foundation failed to revive their claims against the New Jersey Attorney General over 3D gun printing restrictions, after the Fifth Circuit Thursday said it lacked the power to hear the dispute.

The claims against New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin, which challenge restrictions on sharing information related to 3D printing of firearms, were transferred outside of the Fifth Circuit’s jurisdiction, and there isn’t anything the court can do about it, Judge Jerry E. Smith said.
