Goodwin Poaches Sidley Shareholder Activism Partner Leonard Wood

Goodwin Procter has hired partner Leonard Wood from Sidley Austin to lead its shareholder activism and takeover defense practice group, the firm announced Tuesday.

Wood focuses on issues including strategic investor relations, proxy fights, and shareholder activism campaigns. He spent seven years at Sidley, where he began as a senior managing associate after starting his career at Vinson & Elkins, according to his LinkedIn profile.
