Judge Denies Mississippi Bid To Halt Social Media Law Injunction

A federal judge denied a motion by Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch to stay an preliminary injunction of the state’s social media age verification law pending an appeal.

Fitch was unlikely to succeed on the merits of the appeal for the same reasons the injunction was issued, Judge Halil S. Ozerden of the US District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi found in his Monday ruling.
