‘Tickled’ Star’s Estate, Fordham Focus of Family Trust Clash

The unwitting star of the HBO documentary “Tickled,” about a fraudster who catfished men into doing fetish videos, spitefully cut Fordham University and its law school out of his family’s trust, his stepmother claims.

“Tickled” told the story of David D’Amato, who used online aliases to trick and blackmail young men into participating in “competitive endurance tickling” videos. It also focused on D’Amato’s aggressive legal tactics against the filmmakers. He died in March 2017.

D’Amato lived off a trust that his father established for him and his stepmother, Dorothy D’Amato, according to the petition she filed in Delaware Chancery Court. ...
