A professional conduct board properly fined and reprimanded a candidate for an Ohio judgeship because she disseminated campaign materials with false information about her opponent, the state’s top court affirmed Thursday.
Attorney Karen Kopich Falter faced off against Curt Hartman in the Republican primary for a seat on the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas. Falter’s campaign committee sent a letter to more than 200 voters stating that Hartman had moved to the county three years before to take an appointment to a different judicial seat from Gov. John Kasich (R).
