Nebraska Admits Relocated Lawyer to Bar Despite Prior Discipline and Credit Problems

A relocated lawyer will be admitted on motion to the Nebraska bar despite her disciplinary record in another jurisdiction, spotty credit history, and failure to disclose some of that information in her application, the Nebraska Supreme Court ruled July 11 (In re Collins, Neb., No. S-13-1020).

One of the requirements for admission without taking the Nebraska bar exam is that the applicant must be “licensed and in good standing in the practice of law in another state.”
