Murray Energy Can’t Get Law Firm’s Records in Malpractice Case

An Ohio law firm that represented women who allege they were sexually harassed by Murray Energy Corp.'s CEO will not be ordered to divulge records of conversations it had with the women.

Murray Energy and its CEO, Robert E. Murray, had sought the records as part of their legal malpractice suit against the firm.

Cassidy, Cogan, Shappell & Voegelin LC represented Denise Zombotti and Denise Jackson in their lawsuits alleging Murray Energy and its CEO created a hostile work environment, according to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
