A lawyer admitted to practice in tribal court within Arizona cannot practice law elsewhere in the state unless licensed by the state supreme court, the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One, ruled April 29 (State Bar of Ariz. v. Lang, Ariz. Ct. App. Div. 1, No. 1 CA-CV-12-0629).
“[A]n attorney licensed to practice law in jurisdictions other than Arizona may not regularly practice the law of those jurisdictions from a place of business in Arizona even if he provides full disclosure to clients,” the court stated in an opinion by Judge Peter B. Swann.
