Gun-Related Legal Services Provider Sued For Client Solicitation

A Texas college employee who had to attend mandatory active shooter training at work sued a group that provides guidance to individuals involved in firearms-related legal matters for allegedly unlawfully soliciting clients during the instruction.

Juan Manel Perez sued Texas Law Shield LLC and its affiliate US Law Shield LLC in Harris County 334th District Court for barratry, or unlawfully and unethically soliciting clients. The companies provide prepaid legal services for firearm users who wish to be protected in the case of a criminal or civil action filed in relation to their gun ownership, and are “no stranger to barratry,” ...
