Fox Rothschild LLP has been disqualified from representing an investment company that’s suing over alleged securities fraud, due to a conflict of interest, according to a federal court in New York.
Investment company Cypress Holdings III LP, represented by Fox Rothschild, sued Sport-BLX Inc., which works with sports asset investments, and its parent company GlassBridge Enterprises Inc. for securities fraud, negligent representation, and more. The lawsuit claims investors were misled about Sport-BLX’s purported business plan.
GlassBridge moved to disqualify Fox Rothschild in May, saying it was being “forced to defend itself” from a suit brought by “its former law firm.” ...
