An ethics complaint against former Kenosha County District Attorney Robert D. Zapf was dismissed by the Wisconsin Supreme Court July 10.
The Office of Lawyer Regulation failed to show that Zapf violated Wisconsin’s criminal discovery statute and a professional conduct rule, the court said.
Zapf was the prosecuting attorney on two cases relating to a homicide. One defendant pleaded guilty and agreed to testify against the other. The second defendant was found guilty.
