Faraday & Future Wants Ex-Counsel’s Fraud Suit Out of New York

Electric car startup Faraday & Future Inc. can’t be sued in New York over allegations it lured a partner at a top law firm to become its general counsel in California under false pretenses, the company argued.

Hong (Henry) Liu, who left his job at the law firm Mayer Brown LLP to work at Faraday, is seeking $106 million in the suit, filed in January in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
