Artificial intelligence won’t replace lawyers because it lacks the judgment, empathy, and creativity that are the hallmarks of a good lawyer, according to Steven M. Puiszis, General Counsel for Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP.
Speaking on one of two panels on artificial intelligence at Hinshaw’s 23rd Annual LMRM Conference in Chicago, Puiszis nevertheless warned that lawyers who don’t know how to use generative AI effectively and safely will be replaced by lawyers who do.
