AI Tools Pose Risks to Client Data, Florida Bar Warns Lawyers

Florida lawyers should cautiously explore ways of integrating cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology tools into their practice, the state bar’s ethics experts said in draft guidance.

Though powerful, technology prone to “hallucinations” that make up legal precedent should be managed carefully, the state’s Board of Governors’ Review Committee on Professional Ethics said in proposed guidance issued Monday.
