Zimmer Sues Rival Over Trademarks for Dental Implant Systems

Zimmer Biomet filed a lawsuit claiming the company that bought the assets of rival Integrated Dental Systems has continued a plan to confuse dentists into buying IDS’s cheaper implant products by falsely claiming they are “compatible” with Zimmer’s market-leading systems.

  • IDS, which Zimmer last month accused of infringing trademarks and of misleading consumers about its products’ compatibility with Zimmer’s, two weeks ago told the court it had filed for bankruptcy last October; that case was administratively closed
