YouTube Video Bloggers Win Copyright Fair Use Ruling

A YouTube couple who raised $170,000 in a crowdfunding campaign to defend against a copyright infringement claim won a ruling that their critique of another video was protected as fair use.

The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York issued a ruling Aug. 23 that the clips Ethan and Hila Klein used of a video by Matt Hosseinzadeh were necessary to put their commentary and criticism of his videos into context (Hosseinzadeh v.
