Yeti Says Aldi Coolers Infringe Intellectual Property Rights

Supermarket chain Aldi is selling knockoffs of Yeti Coolers’s Roadie and Tundra coolers, according to a complaint filed in the Western District of Texas.

Aldi’s coolers allegedly infringe Yeti’s trademarks, trade dress, and copyrights.

Yeti says Aldi’s Adventuridge Peak Series High Performance Hard Sided Cooler imitates its Roadie and Tundra coolers, infringing Yeti’s trade dress rights in its distinctive cooler designs. Aldi also allegedly sells its coolers with a tag using the phrase “Wildly Strong/Keep Ice Longer,” which Yeti says infringes its trademark rights in the phrase “Wildly Stronger! Keep Ice Longer!”
