Yeti Coolers LLC asked a Texas judge to order Waterbear Global LLC to recall drinkware products it says infringe its trade dress and design patents.
Waterbear sells tumblers, water bottles, mugs, and lids that look like Yeti’s products, according to a 192-page complaint filed Oct. 18 in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas. Yeti said Waterbear infringed more than 80 design patents, violated its trade dress, and practiced unfair competition and misappropriation.
