XiDrone Systems Inc. dismissed its federal lawsuit accusing Ondas Inc.'s counter-drone systems of infringing seven patents covering integrated drone detection and mitigation technology.
The tech is intended for use by customers such as the New York Police Department and operators tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. XiDrone’s April 10 complaint accused Ondas of encouraging those groups to infringe its patents.
Because Ondas and its Ondas Autonomous Systems Inc. unit hadn’t answered XiDrone’s complaint or filed a summary judgment motion, the voluntary dismissal took immediate effect, but left the door open for XiDrone to renew its allegations.
