Innovation Sciences LLC alleged China-based Xiaomi Inc. infringed six patents by creating, importing, and selling TV streaming products, home security cameras, robot vacuum cleaners, and smart appliances.
Xiaomi and its Xiaomi Corp. parent placed in its products infringing communication systems using a centralized hub system that can communicate information about the status of other smart devices, according to a complaint filed Jan. 10 in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas. Innovation Sciences said the tech giant infringed US Patent Nos. 9,942,798; 9,912,983; 10,104,425; 10,136,179; 10,368,125; and 10,469,898.
