X Corp. sued a company it said was attempting to “bring back” Twitter by launching a social media app with the same name, color scheme, and blue bird logo.
The Operation Bluebird Inc. plan’s “major flaw” is that the Twitter brand is owned by X and “is not ripe for the picking,” the social media platform said in a trademark infringement lawsuit filed against the company Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware.
Twitter rebranded as X in 2023 after Elon Musk acquired the company.
