X Corp., Social Media Marketing Firm Drop ‘X’ Trademark Suit (1)

A trademark suit against Elon Musk’s X Corp. over its stylized “X” logo won’t proceed after a joint decision to dismiss the action initiated by social media marketing firm, DB Communications LLC.

DB Communications, which does business as Multiply, and X nixed all claims and counterclaims with prejudice, according to a stipulation of dismissal filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.

Multiply’s July 2024 complaint said X’s logo infringed its trademark because its logo also contained an X that uses parallel lines to create a rhomboid, and was already causing confusion among its customers. ...
