US intelligence officials told lawmakers in February that WuXi AppTec had transferred US intellectual property to China without consent, Reuters reports, citing two unidentified sources.
- The classified briefing to about a dozen senators was led by the FBI, the State Department and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence
- “We are not aware of any unauthorized transfers by WuXi AppTec of any US client’s data or intellectual property to China,” a WuXi AppTec spokesperson said; added co. “respects and fully complies” with US federal and state requirements
- FBI, ODNI, State Dept. all declined to comment to Reuters
