Apple Inc.'s fight against infringement charges by Smartflash LLC will go on, while Samsung can wait in hopes that the Patent Trial and Appeal Board will invalidate Smartflash’s patents before its trial ever begins.
On July 30 and 31, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit issued nonprecedential opinions in that case and four others, on issues in patents ranging from high technology techniques used in wireless devices to designs on fuzzy slippers.
