Willie Nelson Photographer Due Attorneys’ Fees in Copyright Case

A photographer whose picture of Willie Nelson was misused by a radio station is owed attorneys’ fees, the Sixth Circuit said Sept. 9.

Larry Philpot was the prevailing party in his copyright case, and entitled to attorneys’ fees despite winning a “relatively small award” compared to the number of claims he filed, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit said.
