WeWork, Regus Agree To Settle Flexspace Trademark Dispute

WeWork Companies Inc. has agreed to settle claims that its new “HQ by WeWork” product, targeted at medium-sized firms, infringed upon Regus US’s HQ trademark.

The companies are direct competitors in the growing flexible workspace industry.

HQ by WeWork was launched in August and provides private workspaces that are “exclusively branded and staffed” by one client company with 11 to 250 employees, according to its website.

But Regus acquired the registered “HQ Mark” through a prior acquisition and already uses “HQ” to market private office spaces for a similar target market in North America, Europe, and Thailand, according to...
