Western Digital Gets Pause on Memory Patent Infringement Suit

Polaris PowerLED Technologies LLC will have to wait until the resolution of review proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board to continue its patent infringement suit against Western Digital Corp.

The case is still in its early stages, and there’s a likelihood that the patent board could simplify some of the claims Polaris asserts, Judge Otis D. Wright II of the US District Court for the Central District of California said in a Monday order staying the litigation.
