West Texas Judge Blasted for ‘Egregious Delay’ in Case Move Bid

The Federal Circuit halted a patent infringement lawsuit against SK hynix Inc. until a West Texas judge decides the memory chip supplier’s request that the case be transferred, saying there had been an “egregious delay.”

It has been almost nine months since SK hynix asked Judge Alan Albright in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas to send the case to California. Albright must stay all proceedings concerning the substantive issues in the case until he rules on the request, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit said.
