Wenger Loses Bid to Toss Dispute Over Swiss Cross Trademarks

Wenger SA—a Victorinox brand and historical maker of Swiss Army Knives—failed to escape a lawsuit filed by Swiss Brand Limited Inc. in Miami federal court seeking a ruling that its cross trademarks don’t infringe Wenger’s.

Swiss Brand makes travel bags and accessories. Wenger petitioned the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board to cancel SB’s trademark registrations and opposed its applications to register modified versions of the logo, arguing they were likely to cause confusion with Wenger’s Swiss cross marks.
