WaterBridge Denies Copying Rival Fracking Disposal-Well Controls

WaterBridge Resources LLC and its affiliates denied ripping off oilfield competitor SitePro Inc.'s patented wastewater-management technology and trade secrets to create a similar control system that lets oil companies operate saltwater disposal wells with fewer workers.

WaterBridge said in a March 14 filing its own employees developed the SCADA wastewater control system now used to dispose of contaminated water pumped from fracked wells at dozens of sites in West Texas and Oklahoma that WaterBridge previously operated with SitePro’s control equipment and methods.
