German film company Rat Pack Filmproduktion GmbH sued Ratpac Entertainment LLC and Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. for false designation of origin and unfair competition.
Rat Pack told the US District Court for the Central District of California that it registered the trademark Rat Pack in Germany in 2002 as an homage to the members of the 1960 “rat pack” of Hollywood actors that included Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop, and Peter Lawford. Rat Pack has produced multiple movies, including “The Crocodile.”
