Walmart, CVS Hit By ITC Complaint Over Alleged Cosmetic Knockoffs

A cosmetics company is asking the International Trade Commission to block Walmart Inc., CVS Health Corp. and others from importing and selling artificial eyelash extension systems that it says infringe its patents.

Lashify Inc. alleges that a group of retailers and manufacturers infringed four of its patents by providing knockoff cosmetics products. The company, which said its products are used by celebrities like Nicole Kidman and Claire Danes, wants the ITC to bar the allegedly infringing products from entering the U.S., according to a Sept. 10 complaint.
