Walmart Accused of Selling Counterfeit Hair Product (Corrected)

A hair products company is suing Walmart Inc. for allegedly selling counterfeit products online that infringe its trademarks.

Walmart and Wal-mart.com USA LLC “knowingly and intentionally distributed and sold merchandise bearing counterfeits and infringements” of Olaplex trademarks, LIQWD Inc. alleged in a May 17 complaint. Olaplex LLC, a LIQWD affiliate and exclusive licensee of the marks, provides hair care and repair products and is also a plaintiff in the case.
