Volvo, Photographer Drop Dueling Copyright, Trademark Claims

Volvo Car USA LLC settled a California federal court dispute with a photographer and model who had sued it for violating their copyright infringement and publicity rights.

Photographer Jack Schroeder and model Britini Sumida had thwarted Volvo’s bid to dismiss claims it used Instagram photos of Sumida posing with a Volvo after being told they weren’t free.
