Volvo Accused of Infringing Headlight, Driver Assist Patents

More than 30 of Volvo Car Corp.'s vehicles infringe patents for headlights and other car systems, according to a new federal lawsuit.

Longhorn Automotive Group LLC filed a complaint against the car manufacturer Tuesday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. The Texas-based company claimed Volvo’s headlights, driver assistance, and remote start technologies infringe US Patent Nos. 8,810,803; 7,987,002; 7,513,238; and 8,265,353. It also listed AB Volvo as a defendant in the lawsuit.
