VMware Accused of Infringing Virtual System Optimization Patents (1)

Virtualization industry leader VMware Inc.'s virtual system optimization software infringes another software company’s patents, an April 25 complaint in the District of Delaware alleges.

Cirba Inc., which does business as Densify, asserted that VMware’s vRealize Operations software is “strikingly” similar to its predictive analytics software.

Densify and VMware Inc. both focus on virtualization, which allows software to emulate hardware functionality and create a virtual computer system that lets companies run multiple systems on a single physical server.
