Vivint Inc. must pay $45.4 million in damages to SB IP Holdings LLC, a subsidiary of SkyBell Technologies, for infringing two patents dealing with doorbell camera technology, a Texas federal jury determined Monday.
The jury in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas found Vivint infringed US Patent Nos. 9,485,478 and 10,674,120 by selling video doorbell products that can display a person’s entrance on a smartphone app.
