VideoLabs Asks To Block Lenovo, Acer, Motorola Computer Imports

Lenovo Group Ltd., Acer Inc., and Motorola Mobility LLC should be blocked from importing certain computers, tablets, phones, and display screens, according to a complaint with the US International Trade Commission filed by intellectual property collective VideoLabs Inc., which said the devices infringe four of its patents that it licenses to large tech companies.

The computer manufacturers, which also include ASUSTeK Computer Inc., Micro-Star International Co., and MSI Computer Corp., infringe US Patent Nos. 7,769,238, 8,139,878, 8,208,542, and 7,372,452 covering video processing and screen rotation, and their consumer products should not be sold domestically, the ...
